NON FLYING CARPETS
When i was 14 years old the first LP i baught was Chunga's Revenge from F Zappa , since then i listened to similar music
Frank Nuyts and his band had the same effect on me with Hardscore , this kind of music brings a smile to my old face and tingles my brain ....such a joy to unravel the structures and hear that fine soundpalette thx alot guys
"There is no other band on the planet that achieves such brilliance, freshness and instrumental complexity and still manages to put a smile on your face. What else?" (Mark T., Third Millennium)
"I'm not going to talk about structured chaos because that would be a nonsense... What I am going to say is that those from Nuyts have found the molecule capable of fusing solemnity with joy without anything exploding... besides your head. They have done it again. They remain unleashed. Of partying without nonsense and still of sweet. Pop that cork and let the healthy fumes of your "dangerous liquids" make your life a little better. How posh!" (Carlos Torrecilla, Kiss that Prog)
"Their music is a meticulously composed labyrinth, threading through improvisational jazz, chamber precision, and the spirit of Frank Zappa. With each release, Beat Love Oracle reinforces their reputation for fusing genres into a signature sound that resists easy categorization, earning them a spot among the avant-garde and experimental circles.
“Dangerous Liquids,” their latest album, is a tapestry of controlled chaos. It’s an album that speaks in a myriad of musical dialects, from the improvisational fluency of jazz to the structural complexity of contemporary classical music, all underpinned by an electronic heartbeat that adds a modern sheen to the entire endeavor... ...The record’s production embraces clarity, allowing each instrument to converse and clash in equal measure... ...In “Dangerous Liquids,” Beat Love Oracle continues to chart their own course, unbound by genre constraints, offering an album that is as intellectually stimulating as it is viscerally engaging. With nods to their influences yet an eye on the horizon, the band proves once again that they are more than a sum of their parts — they are the pulse of contemporary fusion, relentless in their pursuit of the unexplored." (Jose Zegarra Holder, Romantic Warriors Prog Documentaries)
"That these gentlemen have been playing together for years, can be heard well. Everything is correct. The music goes in different directions, from neurotic fiddling via delicious relaxed to pretty intense. Sometimes it even rocks. The production is brilliant. Great jazz album." (Arne van Os van den Abeelen, iO Pages)

No one does music quite like Camille and Xavier do. I see their music as being akin to soundtracks for unfilmed movies. In this instance it is a movie about explorers of mountainous terrain, perhaps the terrain of our lives. Merci pour cette musique si intrigante. :-) sumbuk

Mysterious, yet nostalgic, Isolubilia is truly an ode to the romance found in the pursuit of a mystery. Musically rich in turbulence and serenity, majesty and humbleness, this album made me feel both lonely, yet understood as an isolated individual. Perhaps we're all fellow romantics, looking up at the same night sky, trying to wring our own meaning out of the stars. I hope that pursuit never ends. The John

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper

I'm always sceptical if a legendary band returns after a giant hiatus. Well, no need to worry here! Pioneer Daniel Denis, who composed all tracks on this album, hasn't lost a milligram of his creative power. So high-quality intelligent avantgarde is still possible nowadays. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
