vox_ritualis These 'memragas from another 21st century' display the peerless virtuosity of Laszlo Hortobagyi on a variety of ethnic musical instruments juxtaposed to subtle electronic soundscapes. Favorite track: Jaunpurana.

about

Lāszlō Hortobāgyi (Hortator):

Mēmesis

1996-2023

A swirling sea of cultures and ideas, an amoeba-like fractal mucus on the surface of the planet.

Yours is in it.

Here, the mixing of the infotamine structures of human brains can create both cultural poisons and heavens according to the rules of mēmetic biochemistry.

The current socio-overwhelming of flawed cultural redistribution and overproduction offers an unlimited range of materialized consciousness mutations of the biological and cultural monsters of alienation.
On the one hand, the Earth is slowly being engulfed by the mēmetic mucus and slobber of the Alien generation's brains, but at the same time, imagine the classical music of the static society of old India meeting the otherworld of a reinterpreted West Indian dub. Or a reorchestration of a traditional gamelān structure in baroque style...
Let us also imagine a molecular needle that, like an audio sampler, scans (living ?) matter at the atomic level and, with the interposition of a quantum computer, generates typing Mendeleev formats that can be loaded as purchasable data packages into the memory of 3D matter-synthesizers.

The combination of genetic Big Data and the emergence of plug-in biosynthesizers, using satellite beamed data transport channels on subscription, allows "information" to be materialized anywhere by existing material-synthesizers on the surface of nearby planets.
So this is what consumerist paradise looks like: personalised replication, the pet-microbiome, sōma-amphetamine and particle-beam weapons, living H.Bosch-H.R.Giger genome replicas, the digitisation of cemeteries and a little transrational music for relaxation.
With an A.I. supported mēme-generator (mēmesynth) - which would also be a "useful" tool for art - the collective social reality could be manifested.

Brain-interlocked scanners or consociator control of matter-synthesizers could represent the physical materialization of mēme-s, the emergence of which would obviously be a disaster in present human societies, but could lead to the everyday life of a new spiritual-ecological unity and environment of a new human species too.

Or not.

On the positive side, a brain scanner already exists with an interface (Neurolink), but there is no A.I. contactinterface yet and only a few hundred neuron synapses can be synchronized for now, so with some patience, a well-done online reincarnation might help in the final solution.
